From Rome to Restoration: The Story of the Church and Israel

An 8-part series tracing how the church separated from its Jewish roots — and how God is bringing the story full circle.

How did a faith born entirely inside Judaism — a Jewish Messiah, Jewish apostles, Jewish Scriptures — become a religion that for centuries defined itself against the Jewish people? And why, after nearly two thousand years, are Christians all over the world suddenly rediscovering the Jewish roots of their faith at the very same moment Israel has been restored as a nation?

Those two questions frame this series. It is a work of history — names, dates, documents, and decisions — but it is history told for a reason: you cannot understand where the church and Israel are going until you understand how they were pulled apart. Each part stands on its own, but the story is designed to be read in order, from the pressure of imperial Rome all the way to the hope of Zechariah 14.
